ARS ORTOPEDICA ASSOCIATION
ARS ORTOPEDICA is a medical organization comprising physicians specialized in diseases of the muscoskeletal
system and is the largest medical association of this kind in Southern Switzerland.
It has been founded in 2000 by a few specialists in orthopedic surgery for the purpose of representing doctors
operating inside the Ars Medica Clinic, but has rapidly grown with the undertaking of other activities such as
scientific communication, medical education, development of external cooperation and therapeutic protocols.
The Association is especially active in medical education and is involved regularly in the organization of
conferences for patients and for the medical profession in the field of locomotor system.
Originally, the Association was composed of doctors specialized in orthopedic surgery, but has developed over
time and now includes other specialities involved in muscoloskeletal system disorders, hand surgery, spinal surgery,
sport medicine, rheumatology, neurology and conservative Orthopaedics, anesthesia and pain treatment.
Ars Ortpedica has rapidly become an important part of the medical environment outside the Ars Medica Clinic.
Thanks to the cooperation with other hospitals and outpatients health centres, the Association members can guarantee
the follow up of patients in all geographical regions of Southern Switzerland.
Our Association has more than 20 active members and collaborates with colleagues operating in other medical centres,
sharing the same high standard of medical care.
